Regular Practice
Instructions

The regular practice is intended to be a total body investigation of the axioms of the Weaving Way.

If this type of engagement is new to you, here are some suggested methods of engagement for your regular practice.

Please feel free to contact us for additional support in engaging with the Regular Practice.

Method 1: Deep Listening

  • Take a few deep breaths and allow your body to still.
  • Play the recording, being attentive to each word as it enters your system.
  • Notice where your mind stops, the heart leaps, or the body moves.
  • After the recording is over, go back and read whatever caused the reaction you noticed and ask: “What does this mean to me?”

Method 2: Embodied Recitation

  • Read the text out loud, noticing the vibrations in your chest (and body) as you do so.
  • Feel how the words land in your system.
    • Do they create an uplifting sensation? A heavy sensation? Nothing?
  • Go back and re-read, out loud, sections that really resonated.
    • Ask yourself, “How will this shape my day?”
  • Go back and re-read, out loud, sections that were neutral.
    • Ask yourself, “How do I make sense of this?”
  • Go back and re-read, out loud, sections that felt heavy.
    • Ask yourself, “What does this tell me about myself?”

Method 3: Meditative Analysis

  • Read the Regular Practice silently from start to finish.
  • Select a line that grabs you.
  • Repeat that line slowly and without pause, allowing it to fill your mind.
  • Maintain this mental attitude until a new understanding of the line presents itself.
